Being an Event Photographer, you will always learn something new. Did you ever heard of B’nai Mitzvah? I did few miztvahs in my life but I never heard of B’nai, well it actually means that its for two kids instead of one. So Bar Mitzvah is for a boy and Bat Mitzvah is for a girl, in Jewish tradition its a celebration of a transition from a childhood to young adult. People used to die in their 40’s, so people married much earlier then now. Time has changed but the tradition stayed.
I actually got a little nervous because I had to pay attention to not just one but two kids. They gave me a small time to capture some portraits in individual and as a family and when I say small amount of time its like 5 minutes. Everything was from dot to dot and parent’s didn’t want drag kids out of their party to be photographed. So many photos of this event was done of dancing and playing games.
If you have some small event (4 hours of a day) coming up , try to add at least 30 minutes for your family portraits. I believe its so important, you never know what bad thing can happen in a day or two or maybe in one year. I hate to bring bad ideas when I talk about portraits of the family but its very important.
The small events I do at least 2 hours and you get high resolution photographs if your event, albums are additional. As a Thank You I give you 11 x 14 canvas of your favorite photos.
