Have you heard of a new rave, its called branding? Now everyone wants to be individual and stand out and be different. Portrait Photographer can have the best time in the world right now. It’s no more of the same and being like everyone else, the ” sheep era” some way died. Your portfolio should look different, your business website should stand out, your business cards should be unique and your head shots should be very distinctive. If you read any sites or articles about marketing and branding this is what you will read. Be different, stand out, people like you are in thousands and you need to get your clients, customers to remember you even for a couple of seconds. If you google the word branding it comes out to mark (an animal, formerly a criminal or slave) but if you look at Entrepreneur.com definition, it says -The marketing practice of creating a name, symbol or design that identifies and differentiates a product from other products. If you work for your self you are walking product. Your logo, service and everything else is just that. So if you want to attract clients to yourself, you have to do branding.
Here is my recent dear client that did branding for her own business. She is a tango dancer and dancing is not a necessity and is an expensive hobby. This obviously, not food that you can’t live without, so she has to work much harder for every dollar that she earns. She asked me to do a folio ” branding” for her so she can use the photographs for her upcoming events, portfolio photographs and also for marketing to her clients and potential new clients. I also have a video and I will try to create something beautiful and place it in my next blog. At this moment I would love to show you the photographs and share the beautiful portraits that we created for her.
