First, give me a call and let’s meet for consultation, miscommunication is the worst thing in the world. I want to make sure that we are on the same page when it comes to your photo session. There is a lot of homework for the parent before the photo shoot that needs to be done. I ask clients to bring outfits and parents have to be ready. We can do different styles for your child, for that reason we have to see each other and talk about it. Also, I need to know what type of portfolio are we doing. Is it for acting, modeling, commercials, they are all different looks and requirements. We also have to talk about, how many photos do you need, do you need a comp card and should we do a full-blown styled photos session. For a styled session, I call my makeup and hair stylist and we collaborate on the whole look. Here is Lino, he is the sweet, gorgeous little kid who is coming back to modeling. His agent asked for a quick couple of head shots for modeling website. His session was very short, 30 minutes where I just placed him on the plain wall in my studio and shot him in his two outfits. The photos came out great and I am hoping he will be back for a full portfolio. Kids have to update their head-shots and folios every 6 months because they lose teeth and have big growth spurs and change dramatically. Not to be surprised by the change, agents are updating photos of models more often at this group, it also includes little children, teenagers, and young adults.
