Prom season is here and will be here for another couple of weeks. I just did prom photos for a young gentleman and his girlfriend-date. I was requested to do a prom photos in Hamilton New Jersey in Grounds For Sculpture . If you haven’t been there, its not just a wonderful large space , with large and small sculptures and mini botanical gardens and mini water falls. This place is not just a great place to hang out but its also the best place to take photos. There is plenty of room and shaded area where you can capture a wonderful photographs. Some people have weddings there and I don’t blame them. Its so beautiful, I would too.
As a portrait photographer I just couldn’t say no! First, photographing young adults makes you energetic and feel young again. Second, girls look their best with all their hair done, make up and nails. Third, kids wearing the best clothes and they love it. So how can you go wrong with it, unless a huge group of family will come along and make the couple shy. I think I will suggest now the parents to stay away further enough for kids not to hear them. The phones and cameras make them distracted and we are wasting our precious time, because its usually one hour and half to take photos. Sounds a lot when you hear it but when you are in a huge place and want to capture many wonderful beautiful spots, its not enough time.
Big minus about Prom is that I need to photograph kids in a very short time and I have so many ideas coming out of me that it doesn’t help. Ugh! If I could, I would extend the time and send them to prom later. Love love love the prom. One of my favorite time of the season and energy of excitement from these kids.
