As an experienced family photographer, I prepare myself for this and now the season for the Family Photography is here! This is when all family members get together once a year and have an opportunity to do a family photo session. Family photos are great and you should take advantage of it, if you can’t make it this year, definitely think about next year , just don’t wait until first week of December to call. You have to call in September to set the time and the date. Since there more than one family is involved, you should always have the right person to communicate with photographer and the rest of the family.
Everyone have to be on board when it comes to the session. Families need to get matching clothes or create a nice color wheel between the different members of the family. Last year we were renting a room in the back of the restaurant with the agreement that the families will dine there after the shoot. It was great for them and was fun to watch the whole family sharing a laugh and telling me who is naughty and who was nice. I love family portraits , they can get crazy and loud but I always leave with the biggest smile on my face.
