October is officially here and many pregnant moms calling me right now and looking for ideas to do their Maternity Photography sessions. I have been a New Jersey Maternity Photographer over a decade. I was photographing pregnant moms when it wasn’t so popular. I created majority of my photographs in studio and then I started to move to locations because of the seasons. I will say that studio portraits are much harder to do. You have to be more creative with poses and lighting than if you go outside, nature give you such a beauty that all you have to do is to ask a pregnant client to stand and she doesn’t have to do anything else. I also was asked to do at client’s homes because many couldn’t leave their house for the medical reasons or because they just wanted in the comfort of their home. All I will say about that is, every home is different, I have been in very spacious homes and in small ones as well. Sometimes it was easy to work because of plenty of natural light or beautifully set up spaces and sometimes it was a challenge, lack of space, to big of the furniture or very dark spaces.
I take every job seriously and every challenge is also a lesson and I also love to stand out. So here are the top photos of portraits I have done of pregnant mothers in their ready nurseries. May this be helpful for anyone who is not sure yet what type of photographs they would like to do.
