The new family is like a little flower that you just planted in your garden, it has to get all its strength at first to grow, adding some water and plenty of sunshine, it will grow fast, get big and be beautiful. Over my career, as the New Jersey Family Photographer, I photographed plenty of families, my relatives, friends, and my customers. I have some customers that I do their photos so often, I actually have the opportunity to watch their children grow. Sometimes it scares me because I see how fast the time flies but another hand it definitely pays off. I appreciate that these families love my style, love my pictures and always call me back.
When a new families come to town and call my business, I am always glad to photograph them. Breaking the glass or creating a new tradition for them. With the new babies, family sessions run for a while, about 3-4 hours depending on the mood of the baby. The family sessions I try to do at home, for the comfort and for everything that we might need to be there as well.
New parents do get a little nervous at first but having three of my own and babysitting my sister since twelve. I am comfortable enough to hold a child and pose them in certain ways. I will say that I don’t do unnatural poses because they are a little dangerous and I am not risking with your baby.Frog style sitting or hanging off the clothes is not my thing. I’m not comfortable doing them and I don’t do them.
I would love to show you a new couple, Allie and Ryan, they just had a little boy four weeks ago. Thankfully they called me to do his photos and also family photos. I came with my hair and makeup person and she did beautiful hair and makeup on Allie. The dress that we used for the session is one of my maternity dresses, probably not the best choice because those dresses are tight, I know after baby, moms don’t have the best body or actually just a belly but it’s okay. I do embrace nature more than people think. I think the top of the dress and the color went well. So here are the photos, let me know if you like them.
